About Nikki

Nikki studied for four years at Harrogate College and set up as a freelance photographer in York straight from college in 2011.

Her style is beautiful, natural, relaxed, fun and artitic. She provides affordable photography.

Nikki’s passion lies in wedding photography and she specialises in contemporary and unobtrusive images, capturing each special day in a unique and relaxed way. Nikki is extremely proud to be a photographer in York, and as a York photographer she knows she is lucky to work in such a beautiful city.

While Nikki is aware of the importance of a number of group shots, and is happy to do as many or as few as each couple requires, she also believes it is necessary to leave time to get some stunning shots of the bride and groom, as well as the candid images. Her style is “simply natural”.

Nikki always meets at length with each couple and is happy to do whatever shots they require. With her artistic eye and professional input, she is able to advise and help, until a full photo list with timings is prepared in advance. On the day itself, Nikki prides herself on her ability to work professionally and efficiently, and while she is used to organising the group shots, she does so without taking over. Her relaxed and down to earth approach helps people to feel at ease in front of the camera, and once the posed shots are all done, Nikki blends in to the background, capturing those intimate and special moments that make each day unique.

Nikki says: “I am privileged to be doing what I do. I love my job and I feel very lucky to be a part of so many special days. The photographs are one of the few things that are kept after the day itself, and it is so important not only to have a photographer who can provide you with exactly what you want, but also to have one with whom you can feel at ease. I know what I would like on my wedding day, and I strive to provide that personal understanding, combined with my years of experience, to all the couples I work with.”
