A family portrait is something which can be treasured forever, and is often overlooked until children have grown up. It is lovely to capture a family at different stages over the years, and people should not put off having it done, as in years to come they may regret not having had one.
As with all my photography, my style is very relaxed and natural. I have the use of a large studio, which is perfect for a big family group. Up to four families can book an hour’s shoot and share the cost, which enables me to get individual families, as well as a full group shot if required. The studio is also perfect for those wanting images with a plain backdrop.
Equally as nice is to meet a family in the comfort of their own home, or at a location special to them. Location shoots are great for children as they can roam around and not feel like they are posing for the camera. Which ever type of shoot is chosen, I always make sure I get many different group shots, so there is a good choice, and then it is nice to do as many other shots as the time allows, such as the children on their own, and individual shots.
