Rachel and Pete, Walmsley Christ Church, Egerton and Bolton School, Bolton wedding photography
I was really excited about Rachel and Pete's big day! Although I love wedding photography in York, and there are so many beautiful venues, I was looking forward to working at a new venue. and Bolton School did not disappoint!
I started off doing bridal preps and then on to Walmsley Church. The church is beautiful and situated at the top of a big hill. Pete and the lads looked very smart and Rachel looked gorgeous! After the ceremony we did most of the group shots in the church doorway. This is perfect as it means once guests arrive at the reception venue they are not bothered by loads more photos, they can just enjoy the day.
After the church we all went to Bolton School. It is an amazing building, very grand, with so many stunning opportunities for photography! To be honest, I was spoilt for choice! Luckily, although chilly and bit windy, the weather held and we were able to get as many shots as we wanted outside. Sometimes a bit of a breeze is perfect and we got some lovely shots with Rachel's veil blowing in the wind! Once we had what we wanted outside, we moved inside and were able to use an amazing staircase with a beautiful stained glass window, as well as gorgeous corridors with stone pillars.
After shots of Rachel and Pete I was able to capture the room set up, which looked amazing, and lovely details of the tables, as well as guests having a great time, and the speeches.
A fab couple and a beautiful venue. I hope I am able to do more wedding photography in Bolton, and especially more weddings at Bolton School!
